I bought this record 2 years ago, based entirely upon how cool the cover looks. And it's actually a pretty awesome recording. The guy sounds a lot like a Elvis, but if he was an ever bigger hillbilly. And the crowd is hot.... those chicks in prison are loosing their minds at this show. My favorite song from this is "The Purse", a slow ballad which includes the following lyrics in the chorus:
A purse
A woman's purse
As she changes with time
The contents
Change too
Yeah, pretty literal there. Definitely not pretentious. I think I'm gonna try to make some dresses inspired by those prison uniforms on the cover. PS. I like the typography.
